Poland wins test without Lewandowski

Without world footballer Robert Lewandowski rested, Poland won the last test before the World Cup in Qatar.

Coach Czeslaw Michniewicz’s team defeated two-time Copa America champions Chile 1-0 (0-0) in Warsaw with a late goal from Krzysztof Piatek (85′).

Robert Gumny from Bundesliga club FC Augsburg was in the starting XI and played through, Jakub Kaminski from VfL Wolfsburg came on in the 59th minute.

For Poland, the World Cup begins on November 22nd against Mexico. Group C also features title contenders Argentina and underdogs Saudi Arabia.
