Poju’s apology sparked an uproar: “Hypocrite”

Poju got into the middle of the commotion when he defended a hockey player Severi from Lahti, who was sentenced by the district court to two years in prison for rape. In his update, Poju, among other things, barked at the rape victim in a low-style way by calling her a “fucking aka”.

Poju, by real name Pasi Heinonenasked Instagram– in his publication, apologize for his recent statements today, October 13.

– I made an inferior update without thinking about it, and my language is not acceptable. My first reaction was that this couldn’t be true and I watched as all parties dismissed the convicted player, who at that moment I thought was innocent. Here, however, you have to trust that the Finnish legal system will not lightly convict anyone of rape, there must be strong evidence, the singer wrote in his publication.

– People who know me know that I am fundamentally on the side of the good, but also a fallible person who has made mistakes, he continued.

Poju’s apology did not convince many social media users on Instagram, Facebook or the X application (formerly Twitter). Some think that the artist is only sorry because the venues started canceling his performances due to the uproar.

Some think that Poju has already set a bad example for others with his behavior, and therefore it is too late for the man to apologize.

– Money has a wonderful power, as we can see even now. When the gigs started disappearing from the calendar, there was a rush to apologize.

– You can’t press this kind of thing with wool, because with your outrageous act, on top of everything else, you set an example for a large number of other men that it’s okay to defame women and rape victims in public and put them down.

– So we apologize when it’s Kustu’s own business. A hypocrite.

– The victim’s pants are put on and pulled up to the armpits. Pathetic, but not surprising.
