Poison murder suspect Yvon K. died by suicide, Public Prosecution Service releases body after investigation | Domestic

Yvon K., who is suspected of the murder of her boyfriend Chris Grinwis from Halsteren, died by suicide. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) confirmed this on Tuesday morning. After K. was found dead in her home in Tilburg, relatives already suspected that she had taken her own life.

A suicide note was also found in Yvon K.’s home after her remains were discovered, the Public Prosecution Service reported on Monday. After the report came in that morning that K.’s body had been found in her house, extensive forensic and tactical investigations were carried out by the police and the Public Prosecution Service.

Toxicological research

Various witnesses were heard from K’s immediate circle. Her home and data carriers, such as the suspect’s mobile phone, were also searched. After a forensic examination of the remains and toxicological research into chemicals in K.’s body, the police and the Public Prosecution Service concluded that the official cause of death was suicide.

The Public Prosecution Service has not announced whether any chemicals were discovered at the chimney. K.’s body was released by the forensic public prosecutor after the conclusion of the investigation on Tuesday morning. The relatives of Chris Grinwis and Yvonne K. have now been informed by the Public Prosecution Service of the outcome of the investigation.

Public Prosecution Service demands 19 years in prison

According to the Public Prosecution Service, there is sufficient evidence that the suspect premeditatedly poisoned her friend, resulting in death, and therefore demanded a 19-year prison sentence. The verdict in this case is scheduled for next Wednesday.
