Point loss hockey players in Pro League against Spain

The Dutch hockey players have drawn against Spain in the Pro League. The game in Valencia ended in 2-2 after regular time. The day before, the Orange had won 0-1 against Spain, thanks to a goal from Frédérique Matla.

The damage was limited to the loss of a run after the 2-2, as the Netherlands then still won the shoot-outs. That earned a bonus point.

Yibbi Jansen gave the Netherlands the lead by pushing the ball into the goal after a penalty corner almost untenable. After a scrimmage for the Dutch goal, Patricia Alvarez made it 1-1. Again from a corner, Jansen ensured that the Dutch took the lead again, this time by shooting low. Spain tied the score again, this time through Xantal Gine.

In Spain, interim national coach Jamilon Mülders was on the bench at the Netherlands. The German is the temporary successor of the departed Alyson Annan.
