Pogba: trial begins in Paris

The hearing is essential to establish the role of the suspects. In 2020, Il Polpo was threatened and kidnapped by a gang of family members and acquaintances who asked him for 13 million euros

Paul Pogba arrived this morning around 9.30am at the Paris court for a confrontation in front of the judge with his brother Mathias and four other suspects in the extortion case against the Juventus player. The hearing in the investigating magistrate’s office began late, but is considered crucial to precisely establish the roles of each protagonist in the affair which dates back to March 2020 when, on the sidelines of a national team retreat, Pogba was threatened and kidnapped by a gang of family members and acquaintances who asked him to pay 13 million euros.

The case, which emerged at the end of last summer, was the beginning of the decline of the player who later got injured and finally tested positive for testosterone. According to some rumours, the meeting could last at least until mid-afternoon. Pogba entered directly into the underground car parks of the Palace of Justice located in Porte de Clichy, Paris.
