Poets of ‘The Lonely Funeral’ can no longer keep up with the demand: “Reading such a poem at a funeral continues to make an impression” | Domestic

Never have more people died in our country in complete loneliness. To provide a personal farewell word for those people, a group of poets created ‘The Lonely Funeral’ years ago: for every lonely person, they write a poem that they also read at the funeral. And the initiative is now expanding. “It keeps hitting you. You are standing at the grave of someone you had never even heard of a few days before, alone.”
