Singer Isac Elliot, 23, says Aki Linnanahde talk show podcast, that when visiting parents, the “musical role” goes off very quickly. Isac’s parents have been involved in supporting their son’s career from the beginning – and especially the father still plays a big role in the artist’s work patterns.
– It is still very clear that when we visit them, we try not to talk too much about music.
Isac’s breakthrough hit New Way Home was published in 2013. The career has been growing at a steady pace and the singer has been earning his own money since he was young. However, the parents took care of the limits and gave the underage musician a monthly allowance of 50 euros at once.
– At the time, I was very angry about it. I was in middle school, that was enough, Isac laughs now years later.
– I am so happy about it now. If mutsi and faija hadn’t been involved so closely, I don’t know what I would have mixed up. If I had gotten all that, I probably would have put a lot more mass to go.
Sometimes the conversations with the parents have been heated. Despite his musical success, Isac has always been taught not to fall into arrogance. The artist states that there has been a phase in his life when his attitude may have seemed arrogant to outsiders.
– I can understand that such a feeling may have come from, for example, when I turned 18 and was suddenly able to spend my money. And mutsi and faija couldn’t say anything to that.
– I bought everything. We were in clubs a lot, there were big bottles… There was a moment when they (parents) got a little angry with me. Then I started to understand that maybe I should calm down a bit.
Alcohol out?
Isac says in a recent podcast episode that he was drunk for the first time at the age of 18.
– I was always told that I can’t be seen anywhere with an alcoholic drink in my hand, he recalls.
The artist organized his 18th birthday party in a nightclub. “The sickest party ever,” he describes the presenter Aki Linnanahte.
– I thought that this is fun, we started going to bars a lot. The group just grew and grew. Previously, there had been a monthly allowance of 50 euros, and suddenly I could go to the bar in a pretty good mood.
– It was quite full in the beginning, when it was something so new and cool. Fortunately, it calmed down after that.
Isac says that he has thought a lot about how acceptable the use of alcohol and partying are in the music industry.
– In what other dune is it so that when you come to the workplace, the fridge is full of drinks? Vodka, tentacles, whatever you take from there.
The singer has begun to think that work-related alcohol could be left off the list.
– I have thought about whether we should take away everything like that from the raider, because in the long run it is not a very good thing.
