Tom Dumoulin has left the Giro d’Italia. The Dutchman from Jumbo-Visma, winner of the Tour of Italy in 2017, was unable to follow the peloton in the fast opening phase of the fourteenth stage and then dropped out of the race. “It’s gone, it’s empty.”
