“The current chaos at Schiphol is an omen for the upcoming summer months,” says Roel Elshout, director of the claims organization Vlucht-verraagd.nl. According to a projection by Elshout, more than 1 million travelers will experience problems during the summer holidays. “The staff that is now being recruited must first undergo training and then the summer holidays seem to come too early,” says Elshout.
