Playoffs | Ice hockey: damper for Philipp Grubauer and the Seattle Kraken

National ice hockey goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer and the Seattle Kraken suffered a setback in the play-off quarterfinals of the North American professional league NHL.

The team around the German goalie lost the fourth game against the Dallas Stars 3:6 and conceded the 2:2 equalizer in the best-of-seven series. The fifth game will take place in Dallas on Friday night.

Seattle goalie Grubauer is substituted before the last third

Grubauer had to cede his place in goal to Martin Jones after the second period. The Rosenheimer parried 17 of 22 shots on goal. The preliminary decision was made in the second third when Dallas scored four goals. Seattle’s comeback in the final third came too late.

Meanwhile, the Carolina Hurricanes are about to advance to the semifinals. The Hurricanes won the fourth game at the New Jersey Devils 6-1 and took a 3-1 lead of the series. The decision can be made in the fifth game on Friday night.
