Plane crash with 132 dead in China: second black box found | Abroad

“The second black box of the China Eastern flight MU5735 was recovered on March 27,” China’s Xinhua news agency said. The plane was en route from Kunming, in southwestern China, to Guangzhou, in the south of the country.

The plane crashed Monday in a remote hilly area near the city of Wuzhou in the Guangxi region. The aircraft plunged from a height of more than eight kilometers down. For a moment it seemed to come out of the dive, but then it crashed anyway.

A first black box, the one with the voice recordings from the cockpit, had already been found earlier. The second black box, with the flight data, is now also justified. A technical team from the American aircraft manufacturer Boeing is participating in the investigation into the crash.
