Due to a hat trick by Sven Braken, Telstar lost to VVV-Venlo tonight. In Stadium De Koel, the striker took care of all Limburg goals: 3-2. Finishing in the left row is no longer feasible for Telstar this season.
After a shaky start, the game came loose in the 25th minute. Brakes got the ball about nine meters from the goal and he hit it in the bottom right corner. In the remainder of the first half, Telstar had the upper hand. There were opportunities for Giovanni, Ozan Kökcü and Jay Kruiver, but they were all out of focus.
At the beginning of the second half, the first chance also belonged to the White Lions. Captain Glynor Plet shot just wide. After that, Vomiting got it on his hips again. He made it 2-0 by scoring with a diagonal shot and five minutes later he simply tapped the ball into an empty goal.

Resilience at Telstar
Telstar was then forced to change keeper Abdel El Ouazzane. The replacement for the injured Ronald Koeman Jr. was unable to continue due to an injury. Trevor Doornbusch was allowed to take place under the bar. Suddenly Andries Jonker’s team got the ghost. From a corner by Sven van Doorm, Özgür Aktas headed in the 3-1.
It didn’t take long for Plet to score the tie-in goal. The striker hit the ball hard into the roof of the goal from close range. Again the assist came from Van Doorm’s foot. The 3-2 made it a hectic final phase in Venlo. Giovanni had the equalizer on his shoe, but his shot didn’t go in.
After 35 games, Testar is sixteenth in the first division with 35 points.
Telstar setup: El Ouazzane (Doornbusch/70); Kruiver (Zakir/67), Molenaar, Aktas, Vlijter, Blackson (Wolters/46); Overtoom (Van Velzen/67), Van Doorm, Kökcü; Giovanni, Plet
