PJ Harvey: Clips from studio teasers new album with John Parish and Flood

In addition to new music with her companions, she published a playlist in which songs from the previous collaboration can be heard. A new album is to follow.

PJ Harvey has released two clips showing them in the studio recording and producing new music. Joining them are their longtime musical collaborators, multi-instrumentalist and producer John Parish and music engineer and producer Flood.

In addition to the first clip on April 19, she released one Spotify playlistto “your [Parish und Flood, Anm. d. Red.] great work with me”, as she wrote in her newsletter. “Thanks John. Thank you Flood Love you both,” the 53-year-old thanked the producers. The three first worked together on Harvey’s 1995 release TO BRING YOU MY LOVE, which also features three tracks in the playlist.

The singer also confirmed that she was recently in the studio with Parish and Flood. The two clips proving this were “filmed, directed and edited” by Steve Gullick.

“Watch out for a special announcement next Tuesday at 8pm BST [21 Uhr MEZ]’ she concluded the newsletter. In February last year, the member of the “Order of the British Empire” already published photos that showed her in the studio and suggested a tenth album. In June she finally confirmed her new record, which will be released this year: “It took me a long time to get it right, but in the end I’m very happy with it”.

Nothing concrete is known yet. However, details should follow soon. Last year she released 59 B-SIDES, DEMOS & RARITIES in a compilation.
