The bassist’s successor: Emma Richardson.
The Pixies have announced the departure of their bassist Paz Lenchantin on Instagram. She had been in the band since 2014 and appeared on three albums (HEAD CARRIER, BENEATH THE EYRIE and DOGGEREL).

The post saying goodbye to Lenchantin says: “Lenchantin has left the band to concentrate on her own projects. We are grateful for Paz’s contributions and wish her the best in the future.”
As a replacement for Lenchantin, the Pixies have recruited Emma Richardson, who used to play with the British rock group Band of Skulls. Richardson will make her debut when the Pixies kick off their 2024 tour in Dublin on March 8.

In addition to their own spring tour in the UK and Europe, the Pixies will tour North America with Modest Mouse from the end of May and open for Pearl Jam in Australia in November.
