When the new year is six months away, Pirelli then announced the name of the photographer which will create the iconic calendar which in 2024 celebrates 60 years of life and the 50th edition, having skipped the years between 1975 and 1983 and 2021 due to the Covid pandemic. Also known as “The Cal” the Pirelli Calendar was born in 1964 in the UK as part of a local marketing strategy, but over its long life it has become a global icon, marking the passage of time with its unique and artistic photography. The Cal has the ability to read the present to tell the future through the shots of the artists involved.
