Acting as Helmarien’s doctor Pippa Laukka posted on his Facebook page the updatein which he praised and thanked the recently fired Swedish head coach, accompanied by a commotion Anna Signeulia.
– As I have said before, for me you were the best boss I have worked with. I have learned a lot from you, Laukka wrote in his publication.
Signeul’s methods received strong criticism even before the start of the EC tournament, when his former assistant coach Maiju Rootsalainen implied that motherhood would have led to the end of cooperation with Signeul.
In addition, it is said that Signeul, among other things, supervised his assistant coaches late into the night and forbade the use of the Finnish language in his hearing.
The Swedish Football Association terminated Signeuli’s coaching contract on Monday evening. The contract would have continued until the end of this year.
