One will soon be available in Italy new function which allows you to refine your search based on six groups of hair, thus aiming to satisfy all needs and including all types.
Hair Pinterest, research on social media is becoming more and more inclusive
The novelty was born mainly from a need noticed by the social network. Between 2020 and 2021, beauty-themed searches increased by 35% globally and by 55% only in Italy. A sign that more and more people are counting on Pinterest to find new inspiration.
How the new Pinterest hair filter works
Not only, searches around the world of hairdressing have also increased: in particular, among the themes “natural and wavy layered hair”, “natural shaved hair” and various styles, even daring ones. The attention around the foliage is therefore maximum.
From these encouraging data, the social network has therefore thought of a new function: inspired by the Skin Tone Rangespresent since 2018 which allows you to refine photographic searches based on the epidermal type, the new filters also focus on hair so as to meet everyone’s needs.

Developed with the help of hairdressers from all over the world and of all ethnic groupsthe new technology aims to make everyone feel represented on the platform allowing you to search for cuts and hairstyles by refining the search on six different types of hair: super curly, curly, wavy, straight and shaved / bald.
Released August 2021 in the US and UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand now it will be a function also available in Italy, France, SpainGermany, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.
