Pinko bases NFT collection on bag design

Pinko enters the Metaverse with his own NFTs. The NFT collection “Meta Love Bag” is based on Pinko’s physical bag model of the same name. There are ten digitally redesigned NFT variants of the “Love Bag” in total, the Italian fashion brand announced on Thursday. The artistically designed NFTs transform the bag into a popsicle, a meadow of flowers, socks and cassettes, among other things. However, you also have one more far-reaching benefits: With the purchase of an NFT, customers can become part of the planned metaverse universe of the brand.

Pinko’s goal is to create meta-commerce and develop a new, networked community in the metaverse. The NFT Collection was created with the help of Mirror, a digital agency focused on Web 3.0, and Luxochain, a company specializing in NFT verification and certification.

“We thought long and hard about the possibility of taking our first step into the metaverse,” explains Pinko Managing Director Pietro Negra. The industry is changing and best practices regarding the Metaverse do not yet exist, so Pinko decided to give their mission statement ‘Inspire Woman to Play Bold’ a digital voice.

The project was presented at the annual technology event “Viva Technology 2022” in Paris in June. During the fair, Pinko presented the first three artworks of the collection, created by the 3D artist Umberto Daina.
