Pink hair for Dua Lipa that dictates the new summer trend

No.It is certainly not the first time that the singer Dua Lipa chooses to show off neon pink hair to give a creative twist to her hair. During her quarantine in 2022, with the help of her boyfriend, she was went from a dark brown to a DIY baby pink.

Today, the coloring is decidedly more fuchsia and made by the skilled hands of the star hairstylist Chris Appleton, on the occasion of the new Puma advertising campaign for its second line of sportswear, Flutur Drop 2.

Dua Lipa, the new look with fluo pink hair in the 90s style

L’rave aesthetics that refers to the industrial look of the 90s is back in fashion. This was confirmed by the latest Marc Jacobs show, where the hair (and wigs) of the models were styled with the typical hairlook of that period: that is baby fringe, shaved temples and extreme lengths.

Today, the singer of Don’t Stop Now draws attention to one of the most loved and used colors by “clubbers”, the fluo pink.

Made by the man who also created Kim Kardashian’s “blond Marylin”, the British singer-songwriter’s very long hair has gone from her natural extra dark brown with a very bright pink color. The result, with a lot of small regrowth in sight, certainly does not suggest a wig.

The hairstyle with space bun

In Jordan Hemingway’s shots for Puma’s new campaign, Dua Lipa goes from a smooth and slightly disheveled styling to low space buns with free front strands. Trend announced for summer 2022.

The mini bun hairstyle perfectly embodies the “raver style” that emerges from the collection Flutur Drop 2, characterized by neon colors and the symbol of a tribal pink butterfly, emblem for the singer of «transition, metamorphosis and new beginnings», as she stated in an interview.

Left with exposed brown roots, following the trend of shadow roots, the hair in this color perfectly enhances the singer’s complexion and her dark eyes, also going to illuminate the face. And this is how 2022 – we are sure – will turn pink.
