Pinamonti-Atalanta, Inter asks for 20 million and buys it back

La Dea is a welcome destination for the attacker, but the Nerazzurri are asking for 20 million, plus the clause that would allow repurchase in the event of an exploit: these are the last obstacles

When Andrea Pinamonti said no to Salernitana, he was thinking of Atalanta. A question of professional opportunities, to make the leap from Empoli to a club with different ambitions. Now Inter and the Dea are in a phase of close negotiations for the striker from Cles, for a prominent operation both for the Bergamo transfer market and for that of Beneamata. There are still gaps to be bridged, but the impression is that continued progress could lead to a handshake in the near future.

The positions

Inter’s request remains at 20 million euros, just the amount that Salernitana would have guaranteed in the event of a positive response from Pinamonti. This is a figure that is considered excessive by Atalanta, standing at 15 at the moment. The steps forward by both sides, however, could soon yield an agreement in a middle way between those 5 million away. For example, the inclusion of the now inevitable bonuses could bring the Nerazzurri closer to the desired collection to give breath to the club’s coffers, so far left dry if not for a couple of forced redemptions.

The clause

In a constantly evolving scenario, however, there is one more knot to untie between the two Nerazzurri clubs. Inter, in fact, would like to keep a door open to Pinamonti’s future through a “buy back” clause, so as to be able to buy back the tip at a higher price in the event of an exploit. On this point, however, Atalanta does not seem to be willing to take steps backwards: an investment of this type for a European-level team hardly leaves room for clauses that are not very convenient for those who spend immediately. In any case, these are obstacles that can be overcome in the negotiations: Pinamonti and Atalanta are approaching at great speed. And Gian Piero Gasperini waits.
