The fashion retailer Pimkie plans to close several stores in Spain.
A total of 16 branches are to be closed and 52 employees laid off, according to a message from the Spanish Pimkie mother Dimodes to the employees at the beginning of March, which is available to the specialist magazine FashionNetwork. The closure affects all employees at the locations. Negotiations on the social plan between employee representatives and the company are scheduled for this week.
This reorganization follows changes in ownership of Pimkie in Germany, Spain and Portugal. The Young Fashion Group has held the master franchise licenses for these three countries since December.
