Pieter Omtzigt causes hilarity with his performance in Op1. There he put a lady from D66 in her glittery shirt. “Fantastic! College falls through the cracks.”
A passage from Pieter Omtzigt’s Op1 performance is quite talked about on social media. The leader of NSC was confronted last night in the talk show by D66 Mrs. Carline van Breugel, who was in the audience. She thinks it is a shame that the SGP has been mentioned by him as a possible coalition partner.
‘Actually very scary’
Carline attacks him head-on about that. “I think it is very important that we live in a country where we can all be ourselves and feel good, and being a boss in our own stomach is certainly part of that. I understand that Mr. Omtzigt envisions forming a coalition with SGP and when I see this I actually find it very scary.”
According to Pieter, she rambles on a bit. “Yes, I do not rule out political cooperation and there are more positions of the SGP that are not mine. To start with the right to vote for women. It seems pretty clear to me that that can never be up for discussion.”
Basic rights
According to Carline, the collaboration alone is scandalous. “But the Netherlands is also, hey, we work together, so they also have a say in that. Then I am afraid that those kinds of basic rights to be happy as a woman in the Netherlands, to be equal as a society, will come under pressure.”
Pieter: “Well, they were the last time the SGP was the tolerating partner… That was at the time when the…”
Carline sharply: “Tolerating partner.”
Beating ears
Pieter continues his story. “At the time when the PvdA and the VVD formed a cabinet together, between 2012 and 2017, Rutte did not have a majority in the Senate and then we had that agreement. Then we had three parties supporting the coalition. These were D66, the Christian Union and the SGP.”
He concludes: “And then it was no problem for D66, of which you are a member yourself, to say: ‘We don’t agree with that, but we do work together.’”
Speechless
Carline is shown in full view, but is literally tongue-tied. Not a word comes out anymore. No letter. “Oh man, the discomfort bursts from her face at the end, beautiful,” says viewer Aluarth.
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker: “Fantastic! College falls through the cracks. It proves two things: Pieter Omtzigt has his (read: all) files in order, and with your meaningless Insta bleating it is better to limit yourself to your social media entourage.”
