Pieter Loridon deliberately allows himself to be infected with corona: “Ramming other saliva in my nose” | Inland

Former basketball player and well-known Fleming Pieter Loridon (49) has deliberately allowed himself to be infected with the corona virus. “I deliberately let myself be infected,” Loridon says on Instagram. “Ramming other saliva in my nose, with positive results.” The BV says that he has to go abroad soon. If you have not been vaccinated, you will need a recovery certificate. But what Loridon does is not without danger. A Czech singer who did the same paid for it with her life.

“No, I am not going to participate in a V-company (vaccination company, ed)”, Loridon reports on Instagram. “I’ll soon have to go abroad for business and a healthy person can no longer do that without V (vaccine, ed.). #Disturbed”, it sounds. “So I’m going for a natural booster for my natural immune system that does work great on the variants.”

The text is also provided with a photo in which it seems as if the BV is ‘rambling’ saliva into his nose.

In the continuation of the post, Loridon says he sees people around him who have been vaccinated three times, but who are “extremely afraid of any infection”. On the other hand, there are “people like me who consciously infect (without fear) in order to be able to move freely”.

The method used by the former basketball player is not without danger. Czech folk singer Hana Horka (51) was also deliberately infected, but she paid for it with her life.

In November, a 55-year-old man also died in Italy from the consequences of corona, after he deliberately went to visit the virus at a ‘contamination party’ in South Tyrol. Others ended up in intensive care as a result of similar infections.

Moreover, even with a ‘mild’ infection, i.e. one that does not end up in hospital, you can still contract ‘long covid’. Patients with lung covid sometimes still suffer from symptoms such as shortness of breath, fatigue, or memory and concentration problems months later.

Getting infected intentionally is a bad idea anyway, says Gregory Poland, director of Mayo Clinic’s Vaccine Research Group. “A booster shot is still safer than getting Covid-19, especially for those at risk of serious illness, such as people over 70, people with diabetes or with a weakened immune system,” Poland says. He recommends a full vaccination with a booster shot. In the best case scenario, you will not be infected. In the second best scenario, you still contract Covid-19 despite the booster vaccination, but only with mild symptoms or even none. The worst-case scenario is not to be fully vaccinated and risk serious illness or even death after an infection.

The Dutch Ministry of Health also warns against deliberately infecting yourself. “The coronavirus is dangerous. You can get seriously ill from it,” it sounds in a statement. “And you can infect others, who in turn can become seriously ill. Anyone who infects themselves deliberately endangers public health.”
