Every year, the association of Bruges sports journalists presents their sports awards. The Brugse Poorter is a prize for the active career of a deserving sports figure. This year, Bruges resident Pieter Coolman received this award.
Coolman has already had an impressive career, including eight national titles at Knack Roeselare. His sister Nina also received a Brugse Poorter for her career, she won a bronze medal at the European Volleyball Championships in 2013.
