“No Time To Die” was not only the 25th James Bond film in 2021, but also the crowning glory of Daniel Craig’s cinematic secret service career. His predecessor in the role of Agent 007, Pierce Brosnan, is probably not a fan of Craig’s fifth Bond film. He likes “Skyfall” better than he did in the Interview with the magazine “GQ” said.

“No Time To Die” review:

“I saw the last movie, and ‘Skyfall.’ I love ‘Skyfall,'” Brosnan said. “I’m not sure about the last film,” he added. “Daniel always puts something into it from his heart. Very brave, very strong. But…” Brosnan left the sentence he had started unfinished, so his actual judgment of the film has to be pieced together.

Brosnan was also asked about who should be Craig’s successor in the role. Apparently he doesn’t have a strong opinion on that. “Who should do it? I don’t care,” Brosnan said. “It’s interesting to see who they get, who the man is supposed to be. Whoever it is, I wish them the best.”

Incidentally, Brosnan advised his sons against becoming actors, as he told GQ. “Just because it’s bloody hard work,” Brosnan said. “It is a cross that one carries. You build yourself up and you destroy yourself again.”

Daniel Craig took over the role in 2006’s Brosnan’s “Casino Royale.” After that he was seen in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Specter and now No Time To Die. Pierce Brosnan has starred in four Bond films, most recently in 2002’s Die Another Day.
