A piece of heath caught fire in De Onlanden this afternoon. The fire brigade came with several fire trucks to the Zanddijk along which the fire was raging.
Thanks to the extinguishing work, the fire brigade prevented the fire from spreading further. A bystander estimates that a piece of land about 15 meters long was left blackened.
The police are present in De Onlanden and are talking to witnesses. It is not known whether arson was involved.
