The American quartet closed with just 4 penalties, to put the sixth success in Villa Borghese in his pocket, 16 years after the last time (2009). Extraordinary Lilie Keenan, riding Kick on, and McLain Ward, on Imperial Hbf, who closed both heats with a clear path. Four total penalties for Laura Kraut on Bisquetta and 4 (in the first lap) for Carl Cook, winner last year of the Rome Grand Prix, on Caracole de la Roque. Second place for France, which closes the two laps designed by the Chef de Pycies Uliano Vezzani with 8 errors, and third place ex aequo for Italy and Germany, with 20 total penalties.
