“Rock am Ring” 2022 is now history. On the Pentecost weekend, 90,000 fans visited the Nürburgring and experienced 69 live acts on three sold-out days.
Matt Schwarz, CEO of DreamHaus and new festival organizer of Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, made a correspondingly positive statement in a press release. He thinks the restart couldn’t have gone better. The spirit of optimism and the joy of being part of a festival again could be felt everywhere.
The police headquarters in Koblenz announces: “From a police point of view, we are extremely satisfied with the work at Rock am Ring. All days of the event were largely calm and without any special incidents. The behavior of the majority of the festival visitors was exemplary. We are pleased that we were able to implement our safety mandate so well at Rock am Ring.” The DRK rescue service at the Nürburgring also reported “around 50 percent fewer rescue and first aid operations compared to previous years”.
You didn’t experience the festival or “only” in the live stream? You were there and now want to see what your favorite bands looked like up close? After our photos from Friday, including with Die Toten Hosen, Green Day, The Offspring and Weezer, and our photos from Saturday, including with Casper, Placebo and Alligatoah, we are now showing you our photos from the last day of the festival, Sunday. There our photographer Dieter Jakob shot pictures of, among others, Daughtry, Red Hook, Miles Kennedy, Tempt, Black Veil, Airbourne, Bush, Tremonti, Skynd, Shinedown, Bullet For My Valentine, Royal Republic, 100 Gecs, Korn, Volbeat and Billy Talent and she sent us with the note: “Fortunately, the announced storms did not materialize, but there were still a few rain showers.” Take a look for yourself and have a good rest!
