In May 2023, two men were brutally attacked at the Lichtenberg subway and S-Bahn station. Now the Berlin police are using photos to search for the suspects.

The crime occurred on May 11th around 9:30 p.m. on the mezzanine level of the train station, the police said on Thursday.

The attackers are said to have kicked, beaten and robbed the two men, aged 42 and 34.

They snatched the 42-year-old’s fanny pack, and when he fell to the ground, they also stole his wallet and a wristwatch.

“When his 34-year-old companion tried to come to his aid, the men allegedly beat him and attacked him with a broken beer bottle,” said a spokesman. The 34-year-old suffered cuts to his hand that required hospital treatment.
