Photo exhibition Michiel Hendryckx starts in De Panne
For a year, Hendryckx, born in Adinkerke, sought out the most beautiful places in the main municipality of De Panne. After fifty years he returned to the region where he spent his childhood. There was immediately a long queue at St. Peter’s Church to admire his work.
That repertoire deserves the label art rather than tourist photography. The coastal light has a clear influence on the image. A photo of a herd of donkeys hidden in the dunes stands out. “If you count correctly, they are almost all there,” says the protagonist of the expo. “There is no one in De Panne who has ever seen them all together and I photographed them.”
The exhibition will run until 6 November in the Sint-Pieterskerk in De Panne.
