Phoenix live: A “digital opera”?
In an interview Singer Thomas Mars described the new live show as a “digital opera”: “Our lighting designer is really on the verge of a breakdown. We play with the same tools that have worked for centuries. You can open the curtain on different occasions and play with people’s perceptions. Anything is possible in a live show.”
The group is currently on a European tour. A few days ago the band played their only concert in Germany, so far no shows have been announced in Germany for 2023. Two weeks ago, Phoenix also released their music video for “After Midnight”, our review of the entire record can be found here.
