Last year’s winner Jasper Philipsen from Belgium again won the Münsterland Giro of the cycling professionals.

The exceptional printer from Team Alpecin-Deceuninck prevailed in front of his compatriot Arnaud de Lie and the Czech Pavel Bittner. Nobody could intervene in the decision for victory of the German sprinters around Pascal Ackermann. One of the fellow favorites, European champion Tim Merlier from Belgium, plunged five kilometers before the finish.

In view of the strong competition, Philipsen had previously compared with a “World Cup of the Sprinter”. In fact, a decision on the last meters rose from the start. A three -member top group settled soon after the start in Stromberg. However, the main field did not allow her to be sufficient.
