Offers “me real perspective”
Philipp Riese changes sides at FC Erzgebirge Aue. The 33-year-old, who originally had a professional contract with the “Veilchen” until the end of the season, is now strengthening the youth department, where he will be part of the coaching staff in the youth academy. The midfielder completed his last training session with the third division club on Friday.
“I was able to work with us at the NLZ for a while last year and gain initial experience and impressions there. Now it’s becoming a permanent move that offers me real perspectives. That’s why I’m really looking forward to my future tasks, which I’ll approach with a lot of ambition and motivation,” said Riese, who had paused his professional career for a while last year. In total, he made 181 appearances (five goals, 18 assists) for Erzgebirge Aue during his playing career.
