Eintracht Frankfurt’s soaring in the Europa League has once again given RTL a tremendous rating.
An average of 5.24 million viewers watched the 2-1 win in the first leg of the semi-finals at West Ham United, a traditional English club (market share: 20.4 percent). At its peak, up to 6.37 million fans tuned in.
For the Cologne-based private broadcaster, it is the second-best viewer average of the current Europa League season. An average of 5.60 million football fans watched Frankfurt’s surprise win in the second leg of the quarter-finals at FC Barcelona (3-2).
