Two children in Russia and Kazakhstan have died after being treated with Zolgensma, which is known as the most expensive drug in the world. In a statement, the drug company Novartis, which manufactures the drug, confirmed the two deaths. The gene therapy can help children with the muscle disease Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
