A motorist who had refueled without paying was stranded on Saturday at the gas station in Breda that he tried to rob. The man had filled up with petrol, but his ‘getaway car’ runs on diesel.
Employees of the gas station on Graaf Hendrik III Laan already had the petrol thief in their sights when he entered the site of the gas station. The license plates of the car were taped off. Presumably, the man had also stolen fuel in the same way at the same gas station last week.
Thief tries to flee
When the car came to a standstill after a few meters after refueling, the man took off running. Employees went after him, soon he was found in a nearby neighborhood.
The thief was handed over to the police by an employee of the gas station, who arrested him. The man is stuck.
