Petrol price reaches new record: liter Euro95 has never been so expensive | Financial

Consumer collective UnitedConsumers reports an average national suggested retail price of the five major oil companies of €2,147 per liter of Euro95. This is 0.7 cents more than Friday and 0.2 cents above the previous record. That was achieved on November 18. The price of diesel is also a record at €1,842.

Apart from the further rise in the price of European Brent oil to $90 a barrel, the more expensive US dollar is making itself felt. The oil price is being driven up not only by geopolitical tensions, but also by increasing demand due to economic growth and production constraints.

Motorists often pay less than the recommended retail price at the pump. At unmanned stations, the price advantage for petrol can be more than 20 euro cents per litre.
