Hagemeyer Retail GmbH & Co. KG has appointed Petra Hinz as the new purchasing manager. Hinz will take up her new role on March 1, the clothing retailer based in Minden, North Rhine-Westphalia, confirmed on Tuesday. The industry magazine Textilwirtschaft had previously reported on the personnel.
In the midst of economic uncertainty, “smart purchasing management” is crucial. In her role, Hinz will therefore be responsible for strategic purchasing in order to find the right balance between proven basic ranges with a high never-out-of-stock (NOS) content and fashionable tops, says Hagemeyer. The aim is to have a consistent overall range and to maximize net gross profits. For the latter, Hinz, as purchasing manager, will work closely with suppliers to optimize conditions.
“We are convinced that Ms. Petra Hinz will make a valuable contribution to the further development of Hagemeyer with her expertise and passion for fashion,” says managing partner Stephan Ahrens.
