Petition for more buses between Ostend and Bredene collects more than a thousand signatures

De Lijn has been hit hard in many municipalities since it introduced its new transport system on 1 July.

There is also protest in Ostend, especially from older, working and shopping people. On their way to Bredene they have to make a detour via the center of Ostend and take two buses instead of one.

“The worst thing is that the people have nothing to say about it. The mayor and aldermen must realize that the people are the victims of this. Regional transport councils have been set up, and they have not once asked for our input,” says Glenn Lambrecht, who took the initiative for the petition.
