Petition against demolition of swimming pool in Wervik
The city initially wanted to build a new swimming pool, but canceled those plans because it was too expensive. The old one will close at the end of this year anyway, and the demolition hammer is imminent. (read more below the photo)
But the architect’s son does not want this ‘masterpiece’ to be destroyed. He says that these demolition plans lead to great indignation far beyond the national borders. According to the council of aldermen, the building is outdated and there is concrete rot. So the threat of demolition remains.
