French clothing retailer Petit Bateau has filled another key position. After appointing Alexandre Rubin as CEO at the beginning of September, the company also introduced a new creative director, Lydie de Beaupré, last week.
De Beaupré has “many years of experience at an international level” in the categories of children’s and women’s fashion as well as lingerie and accessories and brings “a clear cross-brand vision,” explained Petit Bateau. Most recently, the studied fashion designer worked for the fashion brand Lacoste for more than twelve years, where, among other things, she led the design teams for children’s fashion, women’s and men’s underwear and loungewear.
De Beaupré is now looking forward to her new challenge: “I feel honored to be part of the traditional French company and to be able to work for such a unique, historic brand in the future,” she said in a statement. “Petit Bateau is an iconic company that belongs to the heritage of the French textile industry.” Her first collection for the label is scheduled to launch in the spring-summer 2025 season.
