Peter Schouten really wants to become the new Peter R. de Vries, thinks opinion dragon Angela de Jong. She’s getting tired of that guy. “He just lacks a little stature.”
Angela de Jong declared it ‘the most embarrassing TV moment’ of that weekend: Peter Schouten’s performance a week and a half ago in Renze Klamer’s talk show. As a close friend of the late Peter R. de Vries, he desperately defended his son Royce de Vries and former business partner Khalid Kasem.
Tired of Peter
Angela finds that guy cringing, she sneers AD Media podcast. “Yes, I really thought so… I won’t say that Peter Schouten is my favorite talk show guest anyway. I always get a little tired of him.”
It is clear that Peter is trying to become an important media figure, according to Angela. “I always have the idea that after the death of Peter R. de Vries he really wanted to become the new Peter R. de Vries, but still lacks the stature of that. I thought he was just too there eager was to come to that studio.”
‘Really shocking!’
Peter Schouten started shouting at that talk show table that the Khalid tapes might have been leaked by an angry broadcaster. “I found it really shocking that he hadn’t even read the story properly, so he didn’t have his facts in order,” says Angela.

Angela: “It doesn’t make any sense. And I mean, he wasn’t completely susceptible either. Frits Wester still tried.”

No enemies
Angela agrees. “I really think that with friends like that you no longer need enemies. Yes, I really think he did more damage than he did good.”
By the way, Patty Brard completely agrees with Angela. This week she said that Peter Schouten, this time in the role of lawyer for Maxime Meiland’s ‘rapist’, allegedly texted her while intoxicated. “That was a bit crazy.”
