Satire or not, in his New Year’s Eve conference, Peter Pannekoek does not hide his aversion to Lil Kleine. “Lil Kleine is called Pauperkabouter in real life”, the comedian knows. “I pull that guy badly. What a nasty little boy that is. For the people who missed the news: Pauperkabouter allegedly abused his girlfriend (Jaimie Vaes, ed.).
Why Pannekoek and Lil’ Kleine aren’t the best of friends? “We are the same height. And we short men have worked very long and hard to have an advantage over tall men over women. ‘Listen, you’re safe with us. We don’t have the strength to hurt you. And that guy is screwing himself now.”

But then comes the actual reason for Pannekoek’s skit. „If I am very honest, officially you have to want to make people ‘think’ at a New Year’s Eve conference. But, all I really hope is that pauper gnome sticks around. That seems so funny to me.” And it seems that that call is being heard. Someone has the domain name pauperkabouter.nl claimed, after which the donation page of the Stay Group, formerly Stay-of-my-body, appears.
For the time being, Jorik Scholten, as Lil’ Kleine is called in real life, has not responded to his mention in the New Year’s Eve conference. His colleague Lange Frans did. The 41-year-old rapper thinks it is ‘not fair’ that Pannekoek made jokes about him. During the show, which was broadcast on NPO 1, the comedian joked about the ‘conspiracy theories’ and the dyslexia of Lange Frans.
‘Promise, not a poem’
“The man with the largest audience lashing out at a dyslexic rapper without a YouTube channel. Is noted. I’ll see you when I see you,” Lange Frans then said in a message to the comedian. Pannekoek responded: “I take back my words. I’ll see you when I see you is quite poetic for a dyslexic rapper.”
The rapper did not leave it at that and replied to the tweet again with: “I’ll see you when I see you” is a promise, not a poem.” To the AP Pannekoek stated on Sunday that he would not file a report in response to the message that Lange Frans had sent him. “I think it’s too little for that and I wish him all the best.”
