Peter Hofstede in De Afkick: ‘Wanted top scorer Eddahchouri stays with Telstar’

Until Zakaria Eddahchouri got injured, the Telstar striker was doing very well. With eleven goals, an interim transfer beckoned during the winter break. However, a meniscus injury threw a spanner in the works. Moreover, Telstar would rather not lose Eddahchouri. Technical manager Peter Hofstede tells De Aftrap tonight that he will therefore remove the option in the striker’s contract, which will mean that Eddahchouri will also play for Telstar next season.

Hofstede is going to have a busy time. Only three contracts of the current selection will continue after this season. Telstar has an option on eleven players and the contracts of the remaining football players expire this summer. Everyone must have been informed before April 1 what Telstar plans to do. Hofstede: “A number of options will certainly be considered, including Eddahchouri, who is doing well.”

Identity fraud

In the broadcast, Hofstede also discusses the identity fraud he has faced in recent months. His name, signature and employer were misused for false contract offers. In this way, agents, among others, were defrauded. “I have been involved in football for a long time, but I have never experienced this.”

My school diary was full of Hugo. When I played football on the street with friends, I was Hovenkamp.”
