Peter Hahn closes most of the branches

As part of its ongoing restructuring efforts, clothing retailer Peter Hahn, based in Winterbach, Baden-Württemberg, will make deep cuts to its branch network and focus on online business.

Since the branch business only represents a small part of Peter Hahn’s business model, the decision was made to concentrate on the flagship store at the company’s headquarters in Winterbach and the two outlets, confirmed Peter Hahn when asked by FashionUnited. The newspaper publisher Winterbach had previously reported on the store closures.

The new focus means the closure of 14 of the 17 branches in Germany and Switzerland. The move follows the opening of the main proceedings in January. At that time, the new restructuring concept was also presented, which is intended to promote the continuation and restructuring of the clothing provider. At that time it was announced that Peter Hahn’s realignment would involve the separation of around 400 employees. At the beginning of the restructuring process, Peter Hahn said he still employed around 1,000 people. It is not known how many of these employees worked for the company’s retail division.
