Peter Gillis (60) is said to have recently spent a night in jail after he assaulted his girlfriend Nicol at the Prinsenmeer holiday park in Ommel. Sources confirm this to RTL Boulevard, after reporting by Shownieuws.
A spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service said RTL Boulevard know that a 60-year-old man has been arrested for assault in Ommel and that he has been detained for a short time. The Public Prosecution Service cannot confirm whether it concerns Gillis. The case will go to court and the hearing will take place on August 12.
Spotlights more often focused on Gillis
The spotlights of the show news have recently been focused more often on the reality star and owner of Oostappen Groep Vakantieparken. At the beginning of March, for example, there was a rumor that Peter and Nicol would split up, because Nicol would be cheating. “Not true at all,” Gillis responded at the time. According to him, there was nothing wrong with their relationship.
At the beginning of June, Gillis was suddenly under fire, because five mayors were investigating alleged abuses around his holiday parks. Gillis said that he did not recognize himself in that either. According to him, these investigations have been ongoing since the FIOD raided its headquarters in 2019. The FIOD then suspected that Gillis was breaking the rules and investigated his administration, among other things. The results of this research are not yet available.
And at the beginning of this month, Gillis again appeared in the show news: he had received a penalty of 250,000 euros from the municipality of Peel en Maas, for the illegal housing of migrant workers. Gillis has not yet paid the penalty, he confirmed to the ANP. He did not think that the municipality was entitled to his payment.
