Peter Gabriel played his first full solo concert since 2014 in Kraków, Poland on Thursday evening and at the same time started his “i/o” tour. Above all, the gig was a preview of his upcoming tenth studio album “i/o”, whose new songs have recently been released during full moon phases.
In addition to “Sledgehammer”, “Don’t Give Up” and “Big Time” there were numerous new songs to be heard, including “Panopticom”, “The Court”, “Four Kinds of Horses” and of course “i/o”. Gabriel also surprised with a still unknown piece, which he dedicated to his deceased mother.
The former Genesis frontman played his hit song “In Your Eyes” as an encore and closed with his famous 1980 protest anthem “Biko”.
