Genesis gave the last concert of their career on Saturday (March 26, 2022) in London. The conclusion of The Last Domino? tour was a touching triumph (read the review of the gig HERE) – and former frontman Peter Gabriel was even in the audience to witness it.

“Tonight is a very special night,” lead singer Phil Collins told the audience in the O2 Arena – as always on the two-year tour, which was severely hit by the corona pandemic, sitting down for health reasons. “It’s the last stop on our tour and it’s the last show for Genesis.”

He added a little wistfully, “It’s hard for us to believe you came to see us anyway! Yeah, after tonight we’ll all have to find real jobs.”

Later during the 23-song set, he announced Peter Gabriel’s presence among the crowd, joking, “Maybe he’s the one screaming ‘Supper’s Ready’ – I don’t know!”

There was a small reunion between the band and the ex-singer after the show, as evidenced by a Twitter image that was posted online after the evening. It was probably recorded in a washroom, somewhere in London’s Millennium Dome.
