Peter Bossaert can look ahead after settlement: “I’m proud of my time at the football association”
“reparation”
“Now I can turn the page,” he responded. “Due to the way my departure went, I have had quite intense months,” Bossaert said in the press release of the Belgian Football Association.
“Thanks to this settlement and the reparation I can now turn the page and look ahead again. This feels like the right time for me to say goodbye to all the wonderful people I have worked with over the years. My time at the Football Association is something I I am really proud of it. Together we have achieved many milestones, and I am grateful for this unforgettable collaboration.”
Under fire
Peter Bossaert (57) from Bruges became CEO of the RBFA in September 2018 after a long career at Medialaan (today DPG Media). He succeeded Koen De Brabander at the football association. On March 23, the RBFA ended the collaboration with immediate effect.
Bossaert was under fire because of a wage adjustment in his contract in which the standard procedure was not followed. He did not agree to the termination of his contract and then summoned the RBFA. That procedure is now over.
After his resignation, Manu Leroy, director of Marketing and Communication of the football association, became CEO ad interim
