Pete Doherty will play four concerts in Germany as part of his “The Battered Songbook Tour”. Between April 1st and 4th he will perform in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin. The presale starts on February 23rd.
“Peter will take the audience on an unforgettable journey into his strange but fascinating world, where nothing is as it seems and life itself is like an intense euphoric dream,” the organizers said in a statement. Unnamed guests have been announced for the 17 concerts in the UK and Ireland. However, it is unclear whether Doherty will also receive prominent support for the shows in Germany. He will perform songs from his solo project as well as songs from his bands The Libertines and Babyshambles. It is his first solo and acoustic tour in ten years.
After the Libertines’ reunion, a new album, “Anthems For Doomed Youth”, was released in 2015, with which the band went on extensive tours. The work on their new record is well advanced, but a release date or a title has not yet been announced.
Peter Doherty’s current solo album “The Fantasy Life Of Poetry & Crime” was released in 2022 in collaboration with the French musician Frédéric Lo.
